What am I doing now? On the last couple of months of 2022, I managed to find an Introductory Cyber Security Course provided by a company called Brainnest. It was over the course of approximately 4 weeks and was aimed around giving people some insight into cyber basics Penetration Testing. I enjoyed the course and recievedh a certificate for passing, you can find referenced to this on my LinkedIn profile.
I then set about finding a way to learn and get some hands on experience with the techniques and tools at the same time, so I signed up for a subscription on HackTheBox just before Christmas and I’ve been slowly moving going through the Tier 0, Tier 1 and Tier 2 Intro labs and some of the content also via their University.
Now in 2023, I setup this blog site to help myself, and others, on the journey into Cyber Security. I’ll be getting back into HTB CTF’s now and continuing on with my daily and weekly tasks, especially trying to find entry level cyber positions so I can break into the industry. I’ll be dissecting the experiences I make from HTB and update my blog site to include the tools and techniques used. For people that don’t access HTB or a similar service, they can get a feel for what I do and what I learn.

Update 17/01/2023: Completed the TCM Security OSINT course on YouTube and have decided to purchase their OSINT – Fundamentals Course and PNPT (Practical Network Penetration Tester) course. Check out my blog posts!
